Shuttle Bus
Over the Walking Festival Weekend there will be a free daytime ‘shuttle bus’ between Hawes,
Bainbridge and Aysgarth. Seating on this bus will be available on a ‘first come, first served’
basis subject to capacity. Your Tally Card must be produced to use this service.
Public Buses
Hawes and Upper Wensleydale are served by a network of bus services as well as local taxi
firms. There are several buses each day to and from Hawes via Bainbridge, Askrigg, Worton,
Aysgarth, Carperby and Castle Bolton and on to Leyburn, as well as a regular bus service to
Garsdale Station.
Trains
The nearest Railway Station is at Garsdale (Settle to Carlisle Line), which is approximately 6 ½
miles to the west of Hawes. There is a regular bus service between Garsdale Station and
Hawes.
