Our Schedule & Itinerary
Friday 10th September - Registration
The weekend begins with registration at the Fountain Hotel, Market Place, Hawes between 3pm and 10pm. Please bring along with you:
- Walking Festival Booklet
- Your ‘Walker Number’ (on your welcome letter)
- Completed Indemnity Form if not sent when booking
Alternatively, walkers will be able to register on Saturday morning at the Hawes Registration Desk between 8:30am and 11:30am. Please note you will not be able to join any walk until you have registered.
Once registered you will be given your numbered Tally Card, Goody Bag and Boots and Beer T-shirt.
Saturday 11th September
Register for either the ‘Long’, ‘Medium’ or ‘Short’ walks at the Registration Desks at:
- Hawes – Fountain Hotel
- Bainbridge – Rose and Crown
- Aysgarth – Palmer Flatt Hotel
Free shuttle bus throughout the day between these locations.
Afternoon activities at the Fountain Hotel in Hawes – after your walk, why not pop in to the Fountain Hotel for a refreshing pint of Black Sheep beer from the bar, or you can visit ...

After a tiring day walking what could be better than relaxing at one of our Evening Entertainment venues:

Boots and Beer Ceilidh Night:
An evening of dancing at the Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre, Hawes. Includes a 2 course carvery, live music from the Fiddlers Elbow, a charity raffle, and a late bar with Black Sheep beers at special festival prices. £19.95 per person. - Boots and Beer Quiz Night:
A quizzical evening to test your general knowledge at the Wensleydale Pantry, Hawes. Tickets include Hog and Hop Sausages (made with Black Sheep Ale!) and mash with onion gravy, followed by a choice of Jam Roly Poly, Spotted Dick or cheesecake.
There will also be a charity raffle, and plenty of prizes for the winning team! Teams of up to 4 people. £14.50 per person. - Boots and Beer Race Night:
An evening of noisy fun! Tickets include Steak and Black Sheep pie, chips and peas supper, your very own ‘horse’ and prizes for the winning owners.
All money raised on the evening will go to Swaledale Mountain Rescue. To be held at The Fountain Hotel, Hawes. £16.00 per person. - SOLD OUT!
Boots and Beer ‘Ho Down’:
NEW FOR 2010 - Something new and different for the Boots and Beer Walking Festival! A rootin’ tootin’ boot scootin’ Ho Down of the wildest kind at the Palmer Flatt Hotel, Aysgarth!
Including an evening of outdoor live music, a hog roast and fireworks to finish off the evening. £12.00 per person. - NEW FOR 2010 – EVENING SHUTTLE BUS:
From your requests we have organised an evening Shuttle Bus. The bus will start at Aysgarth at 7pm calling at Bainbridge, Askrigg and arriving at Hawes at 7:30pm, with a return journey departing from Hawes at 7:30pm.
There will then be a late return journey departing from Aysgarth at 11pm calling at Bainbridge, Askrigg and arriving at Hawes at 11:30pm, with a return journey departing from Hawes at 11:30pm.
Tickets for this service must be booked in advance at a cost of £5 per person.
